In this first post, I am going to cover a bit about buying contemporary bedding sets. Elegant bed sheets can add a lot to the feel and look of your bedrooms. Given that bedroom is the heaven of our home, we do want it to be as comfortable and as aesthetically pleasing as possible. In the below, I will describe some of the modern trends I can see in elegant bed sheets.
Prints and patterns: Long gone are the traditional single color bedsheets. Now we have prints and patterns that are as varied as our outfits. Regardless of the themes you are looking, you can find something that can fit into your theme.
Eco or Green Bedsheets: With the green movement underway, many products are becoming more and more eco-friendly. I am seeing more eco materials being used such as bamboo bed sheets. These eco friendly materials are not inferior to traditional materials such as cotton. In fact, bamboo sheets feel much more softer than many of these materials.
Asian inspired designs: 2010 will probable see more interest in Asian inspired designs. I see influence from both China and India being especially strong. If you are always into Asian designs, keep an eye out for more designs coming your way in 2010.
